Accomplishments
An accomplished athlete, competing in the 201 lbs weight class in the Israeli Boxing National Championships; Silver Medalist in 1999, 2000 and Bronze Medalist in 1998.
In 2000, he became the Israeli National Champion student games in Karate.
Experience
Since the inception of Underground Boxing (2010), Ilya has groomed many members that started as complete beginners to amateur and professional champions. See more information about his boxers.
Prior to Underground, he was the head coach of the Israeli boxing national team from 2004-2007. In 2006 his team won 2 gold medals and one bronze medal in St. Petersburg, Russia.
He founded Fight Club Olimpex in Haifa, Israel which included disciplines such as olympic boxing and martial arts. As head coach, led his students to 20 won gold medals, 30 silver and bronze medals in the Israeli Boxing National Championships.
Coach Ilya also has experience coaching accomplished boxers at Gleason’s gym as well as working with combat sambo competitors and individuals looking to stay fit with boxing and strength and conditioning training shortly before opening Underground Boxing.
